1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use SALTY, we may process:

• Anonymous account information: a randomly generated player identifier created through Firebase Authentication. We do not require your real name, phone number, or social-media account to play.
• Game and progress data: level progress, inventory, in-game assets and currency, leaderboard information, market or trade activity, achievements, and other actions needed to operate the game.
• Technical information: device and operating-system information, IP address, network information, app version, diagnostic events, security tokens, and request timestamps that may be processed automatically when the game connects to online services.
• Local settings: language, audio, display, tutorial, and progress preferences stored on your device.
• Communications: your email address and the contents of a message if you contact us for support, business, or privacy matters.
• Website data: basic server and security logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time. The website does not currently provide user accounts or advertising profiles.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• create and maintain an anonymous player account;
• save and synchronize progress across game sessions;
• operate gameplay, inventory, leaderboards, and in-game markets;
• protect the game from fraud, cheating, abuse, and security threats;
• diagnose errors, maintain reliability, and improve the experience;
• respond to support, business, and privacy requests; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce our rights.

3. Legal Bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you to provide the game, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent where specifically requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure

SALTY uses Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and App Check, to provide anonymous sign-in, cloud data, server-side game functions, and abuse protection. Our website hosting and security providers may process basic network and request data to deliver and protect this site.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own data protection terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the project, subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data Retention

We keep game and anonymous account data while it is needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward for security, backup, dispute, and legal purposes. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations. Local data remains on your device until it is cleared by the game, the operating system, or deletion of the app. Retention periods may vary according to the type of record and the reason it is held.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated service requests and platform security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers. By using online features, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

8. Children’s Privacy

SALTY does not knowingly request a child’s real name, phone number, precise location, or direct contact information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. Age requirements may differ by country, and a parent or guardian should supervise use where required.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email us and include enough information to identify your anonymous game account, such as the player identifier shown in the game. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. Deleting the app removes some local data but does not automatically delete cloud records.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the game, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible or legally required.
